Just wanted to post for those of you who knew my Mom. She passed away on Feb. 11, 2010. She really enjoyed this site after she had received her band in July 2008. She loved to encourage others and really enjoyed reading all of your posts. Thanks for all your support of her, as the time she was losing weight was one of the "ups" in her life before cancer took her from us. Thanks to all of you.

I am so sorry about your mother's passing. I seem to remember your mother, she had her surgery one month before me. I am not certain though if I met her or if I just remember her posting. You will be in my prayers.

Kelly, Sue was a very sweet lady. I remember her from her posts on the message boards and I had the opportunity to chat with her on several occasions. I am so sorry to hear that she lost her battle with cancer. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and all the other members of your family...

Kelly,
I was working on the Bariatric Care Unit when your mother had her procedure.
I am very sorry for your loss. I know words may only provide a small amount of comfort at this time because we are never ready to give up a loved one no matter how prepared they are to travel to a better place.
Carrie Underwood has a wonderful song out at this time called "Temporary Home", so if you listen to the words of the song you may find some comfort as well.
From my religious background I am certain there is a wonderful place awaiting us when we depart from the earthly world.

Best Regards,
Crystal

Kelly,
So sorry to hear about your Mom. I won't lie to you, it takes time to ease the hurt...it doesn't ever go away, but with time it won't hurt as much as it does right now. Mothers are such special creations. You and your family will be in my prayers.
